Client Summary

Sasser Bankruptcy Law Firm is a North Carolina–based legal practice focused on helping individuals and families navigate bankruptcy and financial hardship. For many prospective clients, the firm’s website is the first step in a stressful and time-sensitive process, making clarity, reliability, and trust absolutely critical.

The website isn’t just informational—it supports lead intake, initial client communication, and ongoing operations. Any disruption to availability or form submissions directly impacts the firm’s ability to serve people who need help.

Privatenode was engaged to stabilize and simplify the firm’s digital infrastructure, modernize lead intake, and reduce technical friction without introducing risk or downtime.

Services Provided

As part of a focused WordPress support engagement, Privatenode provided:

  • WordPress Website Support
  • Domain & DNS Management
  • Form Integration & Optimization

Engagement Model

This engagement was structured as a targeted technical cleanup and infrastructure consolidation, rather than a full website redesign. The priority was continuity, accuracy, and risk reduction.

Privatenode worked closely with the firm to coordinate sensitive domain transfers, DNS changes, and form rebuilds while maintaining uninterrupted access for prospective clients. The work required careful planning, staged execution, and thorough testing to ensure nothing broke during the transition.

The Challenge

Sasser Bankruptcy Law Firm was managing multiple domains spread across several providers, including Wild West Domains, ConsultWeb, and a third-party DNS service. Ownership of these domains was split across family members, adding complexity to what was already a sensitive and time-dependent situation.

At the same time, the firm needed to modernize its primary lead intake form by rebuilding it in Clio. This had to be done without missing submissions or disrupting communication with prospective clients—many of whom are reaching out during critical moments.

The WordPress site also carried technical debt in the form of unused plugins, which added unnecessary overhead and affected long-term maintainability.

The firm needed a low-risk, carefully coordinated solution that improved control and reliability while preserving trust and continuity.

The Solution

Privatenode began by planning and executing a coordinated series of domain and DNS transfers. Control was consolidated while maintaining continuous site availability, including migrating DNS to Cloudflare to improve reliability and simplify ongoing management. An unnecessary secondary domain was allowed to expire cleanly to reduce complexity.

Next, we rebuilt the firm’s primary lead intake form using Clio Grow. The new form was styled with custom CSS to closely match the existing design, ensuring a familiar experience for returning visitors. Extensive testing confirmed that submissions and notifications continued to function without interruption.

Finally, we audited the WordPress installation and removed unused plugins, reducing overhead and improving performance without altering core site functionality.

Deliverables

Initial Deliverables

  • Multi-domain transfer from Wild West Domains and ConsultWeb
  • DNS migration from lawyerdns.com to Cloudflare
  • Controlled retirement of secondary domain (carybankruptcy.com)
  • Custom Clio Grow lead form with tailored CSS styling
  • WordPress plugin audit and cleanup
  • Minor contact and configuration updates

Technologies Used

  • WordPress – Content management system
  • Cloudflare DNS – DNS reliability and control
  • Clio Grow – Legal lead intake and client onboarding
  • Custom CSS – Form styling and visual continuity

The Results

The transition was completed with zero missed lead submissions during or after the migration. Downtime for the primary domain was minimal to nonexistent, and the firm retained uninterrupted access to prospective clients throughout the process.

Domain and DNS management is now consolidated and significantly easier to maintain. Page load performance improved through plugin reduction, and the WordPress site is now leaner, cleaner, and more future-ready.

Most importantly, the firm gained confidence that its website and intake systems are stable, reliable, and no longer a source of operational risk.

If your organization is dealing with fragmented domains, aging WordPress infrastructure, or critical forms that can’t afford downtime, we can help streamline and secure your digital foundation.
